Module Level Energy System (MLES) is a project focused on microflow batteries development as an answer to the challenge of powering an interconnected world (powering IoT) at low costs. This project has been carried out within the support provided by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) for R&D projects developed by companies and aimed at the creation and significant improvement of production processes, products, or services.
REDCAP: Eco-friendly and modulable organic redox supercapacitor for energy storage applications. This development was proposed for the HORIZON – EIC – 2021 – ACCELERATOR CHALLENGES – 01 – 02 – Green Deal innovations for the Economic Recovery program and obtained the Seal of Excellence from the European Community
Micro Fuel Cell: complete sustainable fuel cell based on microfluidics, developed as an energy supply for small satellites. This project was focused on the study of microfluidics application to fuel cells and their fit to the aerospace industry. Micro Fuel Cell approach was firstly developed within the ESA BIC Incubation program managed by the Foundation Madri+d, from 2020 to 2022.
Microfluidic System for Tissue on a Chip Applications (MISTICA). The project aims to design and develop an integrated organ-on-chip platform for cell growth that integrates the microfluidic control system, advanced biosensors, and new organ-on-chip system designs, as a plug and play solution. The project will mean important advances in the fields of microfabrication, microfluidics, and microelectronics for biosensors.
